Los Angeles' Vazquez wins Player of the Week award
The American League's best player of the week was Oakland's 
<a href=p2081.html>Thomas Milliner</a>, who wins the 
award for the 1st time in his career. Milliner was 
overpowering all week long, going 2-0 with an ERA of 
0.51. Along the way he struck out 14 in 17.2 innings. 
He hurled a shutout as well. <a href=p1589.html>Jesus 
Vazquez</a> wins his 15th Player of the Week award. 
National League pitchers couldn't figure out how to 
retire this guy all week long. Jesus was on fire, hitting 
.480 with 5 HR and 11 RBI. He now has homered in 5 
consecutive games as well! This year Vazquez drove 
in 57 and scored 59 runs while batting .363 with 22 
longballs. He's 4th in the National League in batting!
